Interview for One post of Enumerator in GoI-RGM-NPBB-TNLDA Project entitled
“Tribal Community Participatory Breeding Approach of the Endangered Toda Buffalo in the
Nilgiris Hills for its Sustainability” functioning in the Department of Animal Genetics and
Breeding, Madras Veterinary College, Chennai – 600 007 will be held at the Sheep Breeding Research Station, Sandynallah, The Nilgiris. The post is purely temporary for about three years from the date of recruitment or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier. The selected candidate will have to take up the field work at various Toda munds of the Nilgiris and should report to the Professor and Head, Sheep Breeding Research Station, Sandynallah, the Nilgiris. The qualification and remuneration are as follows:
❖Enumerator -One
❖Salary Rs.12,000/- month (consolidated)
❖Any degree or diploma holder, preferably a Toda
tribe, with the knowledge in enumeration of details from
the farmers or collection of data from the animals
Eligibility
❖ Candidates with the above qualifications should be wellversed with handling of Toda buffaloes.
❖ Candidate with previous work experience in the such project
is desirable.
❖Filled in application in the prescribed format along with the bio-data should be sent to

❖The applicants, after preliminary scrutiny of their applications, will be called for the
interview through their mobile number and the email ID.
❖They should bring the hard copy of the application along with relevant original
certificates and photo identity to the Sheep Breeding Research Station, Sandynallah,

❖Selection will be made as per the norms of ASRR, TANUVAS.
❖The applicants already working should bring the “No Objection Certificate” from their
current employer on the day of interview
❖No TA/DA will be paid for the candidates attending the interview. Candidates are
informed to make their own arrangements for their stay.
