Applications are invited from outstanding sportspersons, in the prescribed format from
Indian citizens for Recruitment in post (Erstwhile Group-D) in Level-1 of VIIth CPC Pay Matrix
in Integral Coach Factory against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for the year 2022-23,
in the following games / events :-
i) No post is exclusively reserved for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates. However, the candidates
claiming to belong to EWS, OBC & SC/ST communities are required to produce
community certificates from the competent authority in the prescribed format (proforma is
available in the website) and enclose the copy of the same with the application.
ii) In case of non-availability of suitable candidates for a particular position in a Game / Event,
the post will not be filled with candidates found suitable in other position of the
Game/Event.
Posts and Educational Qualification:
Erstwhile Group-D (Level-1)
10th pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Sportspersons must possess the minimum educational qualification mentioned above.
Educational Qualification must be from recognized Institution.
AGE LIMIT :
Age – 18-25 years as on 01.07.2023
Born between 02.07.1998 and 01.07.2005
No age relaxation (Upper or Lower) shall be permissible for recruitment through open advertisement.
MINIMUM NORMS FOR RECRUITMENT OF SPORTSPERSONS:
Represented the country in any of the Championships/Events:
i) Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category),
ii) Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category),
iii) South Asian Federations Games (Senior Category),
iv) USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior Category).
v) World University Games.

At least 3rd Position in the Federation Cup Championship (Senior category).
(OR)
Represented a State or Equivalent unit, with at least 8th position in Senior National
Championships.
In addition to the above, candidates possessing the undermentioned sports norms are
also eligible to apply.
Represented the country in Champions Trophy (Hockey)
(OR)
Atleast 3rd position in Youth/Junior National Championships.
(OR)
At least 3rd Position in National games organized under the aegis of Indian Olympics
Association.
(OR)
Atleast 3rd position in All India University Championships organized under the aegis of
Association of Indian Universities.
(OR)
Participation in Senior/ U-23/ U-19 All India Senior Inter-Zonal Championship (Cricket)
Candidates possessing higher Sports norms over those prescribed above are also
eligible to apply.
BODY BUILDING: Sports achievement in the event conducted by Indian Body Builders
Federation of India shall be considered for recruitment
KABADDI: Sportspersons should be 85 kg and below body weight at the time of attending
the Trials and candidates weighing above 85 kg at the time of trials will not be allowed to
participate in the trials.
For recruitment of Sportspersons, on the basis of sports achievements in Junior National
Championships, the age groups as mentioned below shall only be considered.
Cricket
Men Under-25 Col. C.K Nayudu Trophy (Inter State
Championship).
Under-19 Cooach Behar Trophy (Inter State
Championship).
Under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy (One day Limited Overs
Inter State Championship).
Under-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy (One day Limited Overs
All India Inter Zonal Championship)
Body Building
Men Under-21 Junior National Body Building Championship.
Kabaddi Men Under-19 Junior National Kabaddi Championship
Hockey Men Under-21 Junior (under-21) National Hockey
Championship
Weight Lifting Men Under-20 Junior National Weightlifting Championship
Foot Ball Men Under-19 Junior National Football Championship for B.C Roy Trophy.
Note:
i. The sports achievements on or after 01.04.2020 upto 12.02.2023 (Date of issue of
Notification) shall only be considered for this recruitment.
ii. For validity of sports achievement, the concluding day of the Championship / event shall be
taken into account
Procedure for Recruitment :
The candidates who apply in response to this notification and are found eligible for
consideration for appointment against sports quota will be assessed based on their
performance during Trial & Interview.
The eligible candidates will be called for document verification before trials
Minimum qualifying marks for recruitment through Open Advertisement for post in pay level-1
is as follows:-
Level 1 ₹.1,800/-Grade Pay(RSRP 2006)
FEE :
Candidates applying for the posts in response to this Notification have to pay the prescribed
Fee as below payable in the form of Demand Draft / Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of
FA&CAO/ICF payable at Chennai
i) Fee of ₹ 500/- for all candidates, except the Fee concession categories mentioned at
Sl.No (ii).
ii) Fee ₹ 250/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/Persons with Benchmark
Disability (PwBD), Women, Minorities and Economic Backward Classes with a provision
for refunding the same, duly deducting bank charges, if any, to those candidates
appearing in the Trials. (Original Community / Relevant Certificates in the prescribed
annexure should be provided at the time of document verification for fee exemption).
Candidates should write their name, full address at the space provided in the postal order
Demand Draft / Indian Postal Orders should have been issued on or after the date of issue of
this Employment Notification
HOW TO APPLY :
If a candidate is applying for more than one Game/Event, the candidate should submit
separate application enclosing separate DD/IPO for each game
Applications should be strictly in the prescribed format as appended.
The application format is also available in the ICF website https://pb.icf.gov.in
The specific position played in the particular discipline, if applicable should be mentioned in the
application without fail.
One passport size photograph should be pasted on the application form at the space specified
Along with the filled-in application form an IPO or Demand Draft for an amount of ₹500/- (or) ₹
250/- (as applicable) should be enclosed.
Self-Attested legible photocopies of the following documents should also be enclosed along
with the application.
i) Proof of prescribed Educational Qualification (Mark sheets/certificates) as per
notification and higher qualifications (Graduation / Post graduation), if any.
ii) Proof of Technical Qualification (if any).
iii) Proof of Date of Birth {Birth Certificate or Std X mark list}.
iv) Transfer Certificate /School Leaving Certificate (last studied).
v) SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD certificate in the format as prescribed in the Annexures of
Notification.
vi) Department / Government service candidates must enclose a “No Objection Certificate”
from the employer.
vii) Copies of certificates of essential sports achievements as prescribed in para 4 above.
Viii) Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi should be accompanied by an
attested translation in English / Hindi.
Application in the prescribed format, complete in all respects along with the enclosures should
be sent to the following address, in a cover, duly superscribing.
