[Govt. of Tamil Nadu] invites Online application from eligible Graduate/Diploma holders in
Engineering (passed during 2020, 2021 & 2022), hailing from Tamilnadu, for undergoing one year
Apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.
A. Category – I Graduate Apprentices:-
Civil Engineering -315
Electrical and Electronics Engineering- 25
Architecture -15
Salary Rs.9000/-
A. Category – I Graduate Apprentices:-
A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in relevant
discipline.
A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant
such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline.
Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognized by the State Government or
Central Government as equivalent to above.
B. Category II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices
Civil Engineering -115
Electrical and Electronics Engineering -25
Architecture -05
B. Category – II Technician (Diploma) Apprentices:-
A Diploma in Engineering or technology granted by a State Council or Board of
Technical Education established by a State Government in relevant discipline.
A Diploma in Engineering or Technology granted by a University in relevant discipline.
A Diploma in Engineering and Technology granted by an Institution recognised by the
State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above
AGE:
Age limit will be followed as per Apprenticeship Rules.
DURATION OF TRAINING:
The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of
one year as per Apprenticeship (Amendment) Act 1973.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
Board of Apprenticeship Training (SR) is interested with the task of preparation of
shortlist from the online application data. Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the
percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective
disciplines. Shortlisted candidates shall be intimated through their registered Email id.
Shortlisted candidates have to appear for Certificate Verification at PWD, Chennai
PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION IN

For students who have already enrolled in
the National Web Portal and having login
details
Please note : After verification of student
enrolment by BOAT (SR), a student can able
to login and apply
Step 1:
a. Login
b. Click Establishment Request Menu
c. Click Find Establishment
d. Upload Resume
e. Choose Establishment name
f. Type “PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT TAMILNADU” and
search
g. Click apply
h. Click apply again.
For students who have not so far enrolled in
the National Web Portal
Step 1:
a. Go to www.mhrdnats.gov.in
b. Click Enroll
c. Complete the application form
d. A unique Enrolment Number for each
student will be generated.
Please note: Please wait for atleast one day for
enrollment verification and approval. After this
student can proceed to Step 2.
Step 2 :
a. Login
b. Click Establishment Request Menu
c. Click Find Establishment
d. Upload Resume
e. Choose Establishment name
f. Type “PUBLIC WORKS
DEPARTMENT TAMILNADU” and
search
g. Click apply
h. Click apply again
IMPORTANT DATES:
- Online Application starting date : 16.02.2023
- Last date for enrolling in NATS portal : 06.03.2023
- Last date for applying PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TAMILNADU : 31.03.2023
- Declaration of Shortlisted list 10.04.2023
- Verification of certificates for shortlisted candidates. 19.04.2023, 20.04.2023 & 21.04.2023
