On behalf of Governor of Tamil Nadu, Director of Agricultural Marketing and Agri
Business invites applications from eligible and interested candidates for the following
posts on contract basis for 2 years to work in the World Bank funded Tamil Nadu
Irrigated Agriculture Modernisation Project (TNIAMP) at Department of Agricultural
Marketing and Agri Business, Chennai – 32.
The qualification and experience as given as below
Agri Business Specialist Post
MBA (Agri
Business)/B.Sc (Agri/Agri
Business) from a
recognized University.
Higher qualification will
be an added advantage.
5 year experience in the field of Agri Business/ Agri Marketing sector
Salary:-
Agri Business Specialist: a consolidated amount of Rs.40000 /month Will be
given (likely to be revised)
Allowances
The travelling allowances and related allowances during tour will be equivalent to
the cadre of Group- A officers in vogue in the Department
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Agri Business Specialist
a. Scrutiny and processing of business plans for FPC, Agro Entrepreneurs
submitted through ABPF consultancy
b. Monitoring of business activities of FPC, entrepreneurs and other
beneficiaries of the project
c. Modernization of regulated market and piloting e-warehouse receipt model
and operationalization
d. Organize consultative meetings/seminars/workshops, etc.,
e. Prepare training module for capacity building to Department Officials.
Desirable:
Candidate having prior appropriate experience in the relevant field will be given
weightage.
Selection Procedure: - The candidates are requested to apply with a detail C.V. along with all self
attested documents related to Eligibility. - Selection will be made on the basis of interview.
- The engagement is purely contractual and temporary in nature and will be for
an initial period 2 years and extendable for the currency of the project based
on requirement and performance.
