Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary College and Research Institute, Udumalpet for the
selection of one number of Project Assistant-I.

Qualification : Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science (Biotechnology/Microbiology/
Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry or its equivalent) or Agricultural
Sciences / B.V.Sc., from a recognized University or its equivalent
Duties and responsibilities:
Work involves,
Genetic engineering techniques : PCR, Agarose gel electrophoresis, Restriction Analysis,
Gene Cloning, Expression, recombinant protein
analysis, gene manipulation, Bioinformatic analysis etc,
Microbiological techniques : Cell culture, virus titration, serum neutralization tests,
Western blotting etc.,
Laboratory animal management: Laboratory animal maintenance and management,
experimental trials, vaccine trials etc.,
Location : Department of Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary College and
Research Institute, Udumalpet
Pay and allowances : Rs.20,000/- + HRA at 18% of the pay- (Total Rs.23,600/-)
Any other : Master’s degree in life science / M.V.Sc with experience in Genetic
engineering and laboratory animal trials is desirable.

Duration of this post is up to 03.12.2025
Appointment is purely on temporary basis
