Applications are invited for filling up of one post in the cadre of Jr. Engineer (Civil),
purely on an ad-hoc basis in Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International School of
Textiles and Management, Coimbatore-641004 (an autonomous body under the
control of the Ministry of Textiles, New Delhi) as per details given below:-
1) Name of the Post : Jr. Engineer (Civil)
2) No. of Posts : One (01)
3) Age limit : Between 20 to 35 years (as on 01-01-2024)
4) Fixed remuneration : Rs. 30,000/- to Rs.35,000/- (Consolidated)
(inclusive of the employer’s share of EPF Contribution)
Actual traveling expenses if required to travel for SVPISTM work will be reimbursed as per eligibility with prior sanction.
5) Educational Qualification : B.E (Civil ) degree from a
recognized university.
6) Additional qualification : Computer Knowledge of MS Office would be mandatory.
Knowledge of Electrical work.
7) Desirable qualification : Knowledge in Hindi.
8) Experience : Two years experience in a Government / Private organization
a) Duties
:
1) Responsible for the smooth functioning of all the civil work, (including,
processing tender, purchase, legal issues, and maintenance work of
SVPISTM)
2) Making arrangements for organizing meetings for SVPISTM with
PWD/CPWD.
3) Monitoring and furnishing information regarding civil work.
4) To attend any other duties other than civil work as may be assigned by
the Director in the interest of the Institute.
b) General
a) The period of the contract is initially one year, which shall be extendable
based on the performance /requirement at the discretion of the Director.
b) Candidates attending the interview for the post are not entitled to any TA.
c) The Selection and appointment are purely based on the performance in
the interview, acquiring the higher qualification, work experience, etc.,
Preference will be given to persons having experience working in
Government/institution. The decision of the appointing authority will be final.
d) No correspondence will be entertained from candidates who have
attended the interview.
e) CANVASSING IN ANY FORM WILL RESULT IN THE DISQUALIFICATION OF

f) The candidate appearing for the interview should not be sentenced for

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – MANAGEMENT
MBA / PGDM / or equivalent with any specialization. Preference will be given for the candidates
with expertise knowledge in Retail / HR / Marketing / Finance.
2 years relevant experience in teaching / industry / research is desirable.
The candidates should possess the minimum educational qualifications prescribed by the
UGC/AICTE guidelines. Preference will be given to the Ph.D. degree holders in the relevant field
and publications in refereed journals. Academic and industry experience is desirable.
- ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – TEXTILES / TECHNICAL TEXTILES / APPAREL /
FASHION / DESIGN
i. M.E. / M.Tech. / Master’s in Textile Design / Textile Technology / Technical Textiles /
Apparel / Fashion / Textile Chemistry / Fiber Science subjects with First Class or equivalent
either in B.E. / B.Tech. or M.E. / M.Tech.
or
ii. A Master’s degree with 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the
grading system is followed in Textile and Clothing science from an Indian University, or an
equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above
qualifications, the candidate who has cleared the National Eligibility Test NET / SLET /
SET will be given preference.
iii. Preference will be given to the candidates having Ph.D. degree in Textile / Technical
Textiles / Apparel / Fashion or any other relevant allied discipline of textiles.
- ASSISTANT PROFESSOR – ENLGISH
The minimum requirements of a good academic record, 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a
point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the master’s level. Preferably qualifying in the

The candidate who completed under graduation in computer science / computer applications /

- SALARY
A consolidated salary minimum of Rs.33,000/- upto Rs.55,000/- + 5% composite allowance per
month will be paid based on the qualification, experience, achievements and other academic
credentials of a deserving candidate. - PERIOD OF APPOINTMENT
The appointment is initially for three years on a contractual basis, with the first year serving as a
probationary period. The contract period may be further extended on mutual consent. The selection
against contractual position shall not confer on the appointee any right for being made permanent /
regular.
- TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Age limit for all the posts is less than 45 years. However age relaxation will be given for
desirable candidate.
