NOTIFICATION FOR FILLING UP THE VACANT TEACHING POST IN RAILWAY
HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL (CBSE), MADURAI ON CONTRACT BASIS
Applications are invited from candidates fulfilling the educational criteria and other
conditions to fill up the vacant teaching posts on contract basis, in Railway Higher
Secondary School, Madurai for the Academic session 2024-2025.
The duration of appointment will span a maximum of 200 (Two Hundred) working
days and a minimum of 7 (Seven) working days, or until the selection of a candidate by the
Railway Recruitment Board, Promotion, or Transfer of current regular teaching staff to the
advertised vacancies, whichever occurs earlier. This appointment is strictly contractual,
offering a fixed consolidated monthly remuneration.

Age Limit: –
The candidate should be between the age of 18 and 65 years (As per KVS rule) as
on the date of the interview and the selected candidate shall not be eligible to continue their
contract services beyond 65 years.
Educational Qualification:-

OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
1) Contract Teacher are expected to fulfill all academic responsibilities, including evaluation tasks,
without additional compensation.
2) Contract Teacher acknowledge that they have no entitlement to regular appointment or inclusion
in the regular Railway teachers’ cadre. Furthermore, they are not eligible for any other benefits
afforded to regular employees.
3) Candidates currently employed must furnish a No Objection Certificate from their current
employer.
4) Candidates must present original certificates verifying their educational and technical
qualifications, as well as proof of age, during the registration/interview process.
5) Contract Teacher understand that they do not possess any rights or claims to service
continuity, contract extension, or service regularization.
6) Contract Teacher are engaged solely for the academic session 2024-25 (up to 31/03/2025). Upon
the availability of Permanent Teachers from RRB, the services of Contract Teacher will cease
immediately without explanation, or automatically at the end of the academic year 2024 – 2025
(31/03/2025).
7) No reimbursement for travel expenses is provided for attending the interview.
8) Discovery of false information, fake certificates, or discrepancies in submitted details at any stage
may result in the termination of candidacy / contract without notice, and appropriate legal action will
be taken.
9) Selected candidates are required to sign an agreement with the Railway administration for their
contractual appointment.
10) Contract Teacher receive a monthly consolidated remuneration and are not entitled to any
additional perks or facilities. Absence from duty on working days will result in proportional deduction
from their pay.
11) Candidates must possess the necessary academic qualifications at the time of the interview.
Those awaiting final examination results are ineligible. Academic and Technical Qualifications must
be from a recognized Institution/Board, or the candidacy will be rejected. Selection for contractual
engagement is contingent upon suitability and merit as determined by the Selection Committee.
12) Contract Teacher engaged for less than a month will receive pro-rata payment only. The prorata remuneration calculation is as follows:
(Consolidated Monthly Remuneration x Number of Days worked)/30
13) Contract Teacher do not receive vacation pay, and remuneration during vacation periods is
provided on a pro-rata basis only.
14) If applying for multiple posts, candidates must submit separate applications for each category.
15) Selected candidates must undergo a medical fitness examination in category C-1 conducted by
the Railway Medical Authority before finalizing their contract. Additionally, they must present a
Character Certificate issued by a Gazetted Officer upon commencing their duties.

16) The decisions made by this office regarding eligibility, application acceptance or rejection,
selection, and post allocation to successful candidates are conclusive and non-negotiable.
No inquiries or correspondence regarding these matters will be entertained.
17) Candidates scheduled for interviews must bring the following original documents, accompanied
by two copies, to the interview:
- Duly filled application form in the prescribed format along with self-attested copies of all
Certificates/documents with a passport-size photograph. - Academic / Educational qualifications from a recognized Institution / Board (including
Mark sheets, Degree certificates, Passing certificates, etc.) - Aadhaar card and PAN card.
- Birth certificate.
- NOC from the current employer, if currently employed.
- Teaching experience certificate.
Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their applications in the prescribed format

Eligible candidates will be shortlisted and notified of their personal interview dates
via email on short notice. Applications not adhering to the prescribed format, lacking copies of required documents, or consisting solely of a CV / Resume will be summarily rejected.All communications will be conducted via Email only.
