The Tamil Nadu State Apex Cooperative Bank Ltd., a Scheduled Cooperative
Bank, with a business turnover of over Rs.35,000/- crore, operating in Tamil Nadu,
invites Applications for the post of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the
Bank on contractual basis, preferably with knowledge of Tamil language.

Procedure for Applying:
The Application complete in all aspects as per the prescribed format
(Annexure A) along with copies of all the documents, as listed in Annexure B, should

Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in the
cadre of Deputy General Manager-01 Post

Bachelor/Master Degreein Engineering in any one
of the following disciplines:
a) Computer Science
b) Information Technology
c) Electronics and Communication
d) Cyber Security
Or
Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
Higher qualifications will be given preference

The candidate should posses any one of the
following certificates:
a) Certified Information Systems Security
Professional (CISSP).
b) Certified Information Security Manager
(CISM).
c) Certified Chief Information Security Officer
(CCISO).
d) Certified Information Systems Auditor
(CISA)

IT related work experience of minimum 15 years of
which at least 10 years of experience in
Information security in financial institutions.

Age (as on 01.07.2024)
Minimum 40 Years
Maximum 55 Years

Consolidated pay equivalent to the cadre of
DGM (Minimum Gross: Rs. 1.65 lakh per
month)(Negotiable based on qualifications
and experience)
TA/DA for travel within / outside the state
(By Air/Train), as applicable to the cadre of
DGM.

The CISO will be responsible for preparing,
reviewing and enforcing the policies related
to Information System Security.

The CISO shall coordinate with the
stakeholders for cyber security related
issues / implementations, within the Bank
and related external agencies.

CISO shall ensure that VAPT is conducted on
a regular basis and the observations are
closed in time.

The CISO shall be responsible for
compliance to various guidelines issued by
RBI/NABARD/CERT-IN with regard to Cyber
Security.

The CISO shall report directly to the
Managing Director of the Bank.

The CISO shall place a review of Cyber
Security arrangements / preparedness of
the Bank before the Board of Management
on a periodic basis, (typically monthly).

The CISO will be responsible for reporting to
the Board of Management about the
vulnerabilities and cyber security risks that
the Bank is exposed to.

The CISO shall study and suggest the best
practices prevailing in other financial
institutions with regard to information
security.

The CISO shall be an invitee to all the IT
related committees.

The CISO shall regularly assess the current /
emerging cyber threats to the Banking
sector, including all payment systems and
discuss these aspects in the IT related
committees.

The CISO will be responsible for planning
and setting up of Cyber Security Operations
Centre (C-SOC) for the Bank within a period
of approximately 6 month.

The appointed CISO shall coordinate all the
above aspects of information security in the
23 District Central Cooperative Banks in
Tamil Nadu.

IT Infrastructure of the Bank:
The Bank maintains Intel Servers (10 Nos.), desktops (25 No.), network
equipment, leased lines, Oracle database, IBM WebSphere MQ middleware
and other assets related to the RTGS/NEFT applications and CCIL applications
(NDS-OM, NDSL-CALL, TREPS etc.,).

The above infrastructures are spread over two locations (Data Centre and
Head Office premises, both at Chennai.)

The Bank also has 500 Desktops and 70 switches spread across 50 branches,
Training College at Madhavaram and Head Office at Chennai.

Apart from the above services, all other services like Core Banking Solution,
payment channels and other add-on services are outsourced to cloud
arrangement.

Selection Procedure:
A preliminary screening of the application will be carried out by the Bank and
the candidates will be shortlisted based on qualifications and experience.

The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview by the Expert
Committee constituted for the purpose.

Shortlisted candidates have to make a presentation on their technical skills
and exposure to Information Security, before the Expert Committee.

Verification of documents and credentials presented by the candidate will be
done.

Upon satisfactory performance, eligibility and experience, the Expert
Committee will recommend to the Bank for appointment. The decision of the
Expert Committee is final and irrevocable.

The selected candidate is expected to assume charge of the post within one
month from the date of receiving appointment order.

Candidates already in employment, have to get relieving order from the
present employer before taking charge as CISO in TNSC Bank.
